But the real story is New York's offensive futility. Zero for seven on high-danger chances is not sustainable, and it won't happen often—but it happened here. The Rangers built a 58–42 advantage in shot attempts and still couldn't find the back of the net. That's the inverse of a shut out; it's a collapse.
